Ladro Kahega is a tall man, long of limb and lanky of build. His dark black hair is arrayed in tightly braided rows festooned with painted and shellacked wood and horn beads. The caramel skin and dark brown eyes tell of his Venagan origins but his garb is in the Karthian style. A well-cared for lute rests on his knee as he strums a cheerful tune that sets toes tapping along. His rich tenor voice rises and falls with the song as it fills the tavern. Leaning against the wall behind him is a patched leather satchel and a sword in a bright red sheath. He is 30 years old.

The Kahega family has long been involved in the export of cattle-related goods from Venaga. While not a domain lord, they have long-supported the Venagan domain lords. Over the decades, the Kahega family has managed to diversify their holdings, investing in platinum and diamond mines, and the ivory trade. The Kahega family maintains residences in Karthis itself and the Venaga region.
Ladro was born and raised in Karthis. While he has visited Venaga, he considers himself a Karthian. As a child, he always loved music and his parents encouraged it. When he displayed the arcane talent, he enrolled in the College of Music and the Academy of Magic with his parents blessings. His parents were not as pleased when after graduating he went traveling around the Neimocrands on a less-than grand tour. He trained at the Satida fighting schools on the Lower Plateau, stood on the wall of Lithmallen Fortress on the Eastern Plateau, and traded tales with goat herders in the Western Vales. He would often sign on as a caravan guard as he traveled from place to place.
He can be found anywhere music and song is welcomed; taverns, strolling on the Long Loop, busking on the street, and in small venues in the Theater District. He has played in the Grand Theater as have all graduates of the College of Music but he does dream of one day composing his own concerto or even a symphony to perform for a packed house.
