Does anyone have ideas on what they'd like to see in a game? Setting, overall storyline, features? I've had ideas ranging from vikings doing viking things to World War 2 + the supernatural. Anything?

I've been playing X-com lately and an elite strike team dealing with an alien invasion and investigating downed UFOs and abductions seemed like a cool idea.

Assuming that the system is going to be Pathfinder, the question is how much time do you have for world building and design. I've given thought to my own Steampunk campaign set at the very beginning of the industrial age - 1810s - 1830s. But it would take a LOT of time and resources to start it properly.
There's always the Pathfinder Campaign Paths for a mostly designed and built story background. They may need some editing for a fewer of the weaker story elements.
But anyway, story ideas and campaigns, I'd be interested in. I'd like something set in the Far East - Ninja, Samuri, kitsune and such. Tian Xia, Oriental Adventures and Legends of the Five Rings as sources. Maybe look at the Jade Regent Adventure Path for ideas. It'd be different from our usual campaign settings.
World War II wouldn't interest me - but the late 30's, with pulp fiction, Nazi conspiracies, film noir would be fascinating. This does tread closely on the reboot of Ken's Modern Arcana concept.
Steampunk as seen in the Mask of the Red Death, Castle Falkenstein, Space 1889. This would entail a great deal more work. There is a Pathfinder scenario or adventure path using elements on an adjoining world - not sure of the name at the moment. It has WWI tanks and a Rasputin-type fellow in it. For a twist, go with the Deadlands Weird West campaign and place the campaign in 1890's Wild West.

I'm not a fan of Steampunk. It's fashion, and fashion doesn't interest me. I've also been kicking around the idea of a settlement-building campaign. I'm liking Richard's idea about alien invasion, so I might be stealing that.

I've always thought the "Surprise! You're actually playing Dragonstar!" was a cool campaign idea. For something really different, may i suggest GammaWorld? Storywise it is pretty much the same, but setting of Mad Max meets Thundarr The Barbarian is awesome.
PS I call Mok.
