The City of Trivian (Castella Triviana)
In addition to being the nominal center of the Tyrathis Chronicle, Trivian is also the largest city in the region. It takes its name from the fact that it sits at the crossroads of the Old Livonian Road, the Northern Road and the Mine Road.
Trivian holds 500 legionaires who patrol the roads within a 50 mile radius of the city. Several villages can be found in the region as well. The city derives most its wealth from trade. The mining communities to the south produce iron and steel which passes through Trivian on the way to other Castellae in the region. The Cimbrian towns to the north send their goods south towards Trivian on their way to other cities as well.
People in Trivian are generally happy with their government. The current Count (1352 Livonian Time) is Fulvius Felix, a human male in his mid-fifties. He's considered to be stern, but fair. He balances the concerns of the military, the merchants and the landowners. He uses his censorial powers very rarely, and only in extreme cases.
