This post doesn't really apply to players except that I believe they should understand how the game systems that can affect them work.
Inflict spells
These spells do negative energy damage. Anyone who is killed by negative energy damage cannot be raised from the dead (but they can be resurrected). Anyone who is killed by negative energy damage will rise as an uncontrolled zombie within 2d4 rounds unless Bless or Bless Corpse is cast on the body.
Negative Levels
My least favorite game mechanic in D&D does not exist in Rhiada. Any creature that deals negative levels does negative energy damage instead. The damage is d10 per negative level dealt. The character is also weakened for 24 hours (Restoration removes this affect). A successful fortitude saving throw reduces the damage by half and negates the weakening affect. Undead gain 5 temporary hit points per negative level each time they deal negative energy damage in this way. These hit points remain for 24 hours. Temporary hit points gained in this manner do not stack.
Deathless Armor
Deathless armor provides resistance 10 to negative energy and adds +2 to the saving throw versus negative energy damage.
