Description
Elzar Dalgrip (known just as Dalgrip) is a male goblin of middle age. Like most of his kind, his head is hairless. His ears are large and slightly pointed and his nose is long and bent. He has piercing black eyes that seem to stare into you. He dresses in an exaggerated drape suit, almost a precursor the zoot suit that becomes famous in the late 1930s. His suit features numerous interior pockets from which he can draw alchemical concoctions and reagents.
Position and Status
Elzar Dalgrip runs Dalgrip photography on the upper west side of Manhattan, a company that doesn't appear to do much business. He's an alchemist and seems to be somewhat important in the Manhattan Consortium (the local goblin market), as well as in criminal activity (both mundane and magical). He has numerous goblins working for him. He seldom goes anywhere without his bodyguards, a bugbear bruiser called Happy and a cold-eyed hobgoblin called Chazz.
Dalgrip seems to have a lot of money. While he flaunts mundane law casually, he seems to skirt carefully along the edge of magical law and the customs of the Consortium.
Known Activities
Dalgrip brings pure heroin into the country. He sells some of it on the market, but claims to use it for his potions. "That's what gives them the Dalgrip zing!"
He has been known to import dangerous creatures because he wants to use their parts in magical potions.
He claims to vivisect his enemies and to use their parts in his potions as well.
Allies and Enemies
Dalgrip is an ally of the Manhattan Consortium (possibly one of its shadowy directors).
He is an enemy of the Volpe gang and his agents will kill or destroy anyone associated with that group if he can get away with it.
Dalgrip has connections with the Black Scorpion Triad, the Menshev gang (in Moscow), the al-Khanjar society in the Arabian Peninsula and the Favreau gang in New Orleans.
