Having returned to Redtooth's warrens, the party decided to rest and recuperate. Redtooth was so happy that the attack was put down, she opened her weapon storage to the players so that they could fill out their arms.
The next morning, on Redtooth's advice, the party decided to go retrieve the Cylex - the plastic explosive - that they would need to destroy Hellion's receiving array. A young ratfolk female named 'Bright Eyes' was given to the party as a guide through the tunnels. The rat tunnels were a network that ran everywhere in Scrapwall. As they navigated through the confusing maze, Bright Eyes told of her brother - who had died in the explosion that cost the Redtooth's Raider, their supply of Cylex. Her brother had joined the Lords of Rust. He came by every so often to try to recruit Bright Eyes to that gang.
Her brother mentioned Hellion, described him as a demonic or devil-like creature that appeared only in pictures in the Lords of Rust area. The windows allowed Hellion to see and listen to everything that happened there - and to cast spells through the windows. He was not a nice creature. Redtooth didn't want anything to do with the god - because she doesn't believe in them.
Finally, the party arrived near the area. Stepping away from the warmer tunnels into the colder outdoors, the party saw overcast skies with snowflakes slowly drifting down. They turned into the canyon towards the site of the Cylex.
The canyon was narrow - about 15' wide and filled with thick fog. Poltergiests attacked them but Aromil's gust of wind cleared the fog and the rest of the party took them out. At the end of the canyon, the party entered an open airlock of a crashed space launch. It was pretty much trashed. Inside, they went through the airlock into a central corridor. In the cargo hold, they destroyed more poltergiests. Across from the cargo bay, they found statis pods. Three seemed to be intact with lights showing. Inside were humans, with dusty skin, reddish hair and delicate features, dressed in pristine space suits. There was no other power on the launch. When they examined the pods closer, the pods crumbled and skeletal technicians came out, still dressed in tattered remains of space suits. The party smashed them.
Examining the floor, the party saw ratfolk footprints running through the dust. They followed the footprints through a rip in the front wall into a narrow room with walls covered in dead instrumentation and lockers. Everything was looted but the party found several bricks of Cylex. The front of the room has a single door - closed. Astrovel was able to trick the lock into unlocking. They found the launch's cockpit, occupied only by a single figure slumped over the controls. As they watched, the figure collapsed into dust and bone fragments and a wraith stepped out of the clouds. The party moved quickly, destroying the wraith before he could damage them too badly. With the wraith destroyed - the atmosphere of the area lifted. The party returned to Redtooth's warrens.
Before they headed out, Redtooth asked them for advice - many of the ratfolk that had joined Hellion had started coming back. She wanted advice as to how to handle them. She took them to a small room where six of them sat, guarded by three more ratfolk. Their leader was a big ratfolk male, named 'Longtail'. He told how Hellion was losing support - with the Smilers gone and other humans leaving him and the ratfolk deciding to leave him as well. The party's advice was to accept the returning ratfolk but watch them.
Next, the party headed outdoors again to climb up the slopes of the scrap and junk to take out the receiving array. As they climbed - they kept coming across bodies of small humanoids that Eramus identified as chokers. They appeared to be fleeing something. The party's trail led them into a canyon of scrap with rooms carved into the wreckage. Access to the rooms was through rickety stairs and bridges. Checking them out - the party discovered one of the rooms was used to keep batteries to be charged from the array. A few minutes work with spells made sure that those batteries were destoryed. Another room appeared to once be a temple to Hellion with crude depictions of the demonic figure and a steep, silver or white chalked mountain. Also in this room were more chokers and something floating with four tentacles called a Rhu-Chalik, some horror that had been brought to Golarian years ago with the crash. The party cleared out the chokers with a thunderwave. Mighty blows from Obin and Aromil and a lighting blast from Astrovel took out the interstellar horror.
From there, the party had no difficulty in reaching the bases of the receiving array. Astrovel advised the others where to set the charges and how far to walk back to avoid taking the blast. Then he set off the charges - causing the receiving array to crash into the roof of the rooms, pancaking the roooms into a pile of ruin.
Returning to Redtooth's warren, the party talked with the ratfolk leader as to how to proceed against the Lords of Rust.
