The Tomb of Annihilation Chronicle will be run in 5th edition D&D.
1. The characters will start at 3rd level. 2. Maximum hit points for the first three levels. 3. Do not apply any equipment supplied by class. Characters will have 1000gp to buy equipment. Another post will discuss possible magic items. 4. In place of a background, choose two skills, one tool, and as many languages equal your Inteligence Modifier, plus one if you are Human. I find the background powers too “hand wavy”(I’m looking at you Outlander!). 5. The characters will start in the Forgotten Realms, in Balder’s Gates. The party will rapidly go to the jungles of Chult. No more than onecharacter will be allowed to be from Chult, as this is an exploration adventure native Chult and would make this too easy. Expertise in the jungles an marshes of Chult is not something 3rd level characters should have. Any player wanting to play a Chultan character should speak with me. 6. Characters should be drawn from the the “classic” fantasy races (Dwarves, Elves, Halflings, Half-Elves, Half-Orcs, and Humans). As many Tabaxi have been traveling to Chult of late, I will allow Tabaxi as well, but be respectful. 7. All characters should have a connection to the wizard/merchant Syndra Silvane. Such that you’d want to help her with a very dangerous task with little or no information to work with.
