Jaggred cuts an impressive figure, standing 6'6" with a broad muscular frame. His thick black hair is tied back and braided with bone beads and carved bits. He has green skin and tusks as befitting his orc blood nature. He dresses in alligator skin leather studded with metal.
He grew up in the marshland north east of Balder's Gate. His mother, Cralda, is a full blood orc from the Blood Skull horde. His father, Golgo, is an orc blood from a small logging community.
Before Jaggred was born, Cralda was a warrior in the horde. She was mean, cruel, and deadly. She showed no mercy to any that stood in her way, whether they could defend themselves or not.
A group of Blood Skulls spied a lone wagon camped out in the wilds. A single old lady sat by the small fire tending the black pot hanging above it. It was a meager target but a target nonetheless. The horn was sounded and the Blood Skulls charged. The old lady said an arcane phrase and Cralda's world went dark. Three days later, Cralda exited the marshland. She was naked, severely wounded, and unarmed. The physical injuries were not the only mark left on her. She was wracked with guilt over her life as a raider. She could not return to the Blood Skulls.
She lived on the outskirts of a logging community for several weeks. What she couldn't hunt and forage for, she borrowed from the community. She always left something in exchange for what she took. Her comings and goings mainly went unnoticed, except by one, Golgo. Golgo is an orc blood lumberjack. He recognized the orc crafts left by Cralda. He tracked her down and managed to talk to her before she could run away. He brought her into the community and she soon became a lumberjack. after a few months, they were married. A year later, little Jaggred came along. While his mother tried to keep him away from his orcish heritage, Golgo finally convinced her it is part of who they are and he should know of his kin. When he was 12 years old, Golgo took him to a friendly orc horde called the Thunder Wolves. They are primarily ranchers and farmers but they still hold to many of the less brutal orc traditions. Jaggred was initiated into the Thunder Wolves.
Jaggred has since moved on from the Thunder Wolves and the logging community. He worked as a caravan guard for a few years as well as a guide through forest and swamp.
He met Syndra Silvane when she hired him to guide her and some other adventurers through the Troll Marshes. Unfortunately but not unexpectedly, trolls attacked the group. Syndra was the last one standing as the last troll died. Jaggred owes her his life. Something he doesn't take lightly.
