- The party now knows the location of Cragmaw Castle. Sildar is willing to pay 200 gp for the safe return of Gundren Rockseeker who is being held captive by King Grol at that location. Darguun currently has a 500 gp reward for the head of King Grol. Cragmaw Castle is located in the Stirge Wood at the base of the Seawall mountains almost 30 miles due North of Phandalin.
- In the ruins of Conyberry at the Eastern end of the Marguul Pass there in a house in which dwells the banshee known as Agatha. Conyberry is 50 miles to the East of Phandalin. Sister Garaele would like to know the location of Bowjangle's spellbook. Bowjangle was a necromancer with an aberrant mark that died beneath the ruins of what would one day be Sharn during the War of the Mark. Any one person or group can only ever ask Agatha a single question. Sister Garaele will pay the party four potions of healing for the answer to her question.
- Several prospectors were run off of a potential claim at the Old Owl Well (a ruined tower) 20 miles Southeast of Conyberry by zombies led by a necromancer.
- 10 miles South of Old Owl Well, just within the Seawall Mountain range is Wyvern Tor. Orcs have set up camp there and Townmaster Harbin Wester is willing to pay the party 100 gp to deal with them. Orc raiders have been seen near Phandalin and have attacked several mining claims and trappers/hunters in the area. Halia Thornton has also reported to the party that some of these mounted orcs have made contact with Glasstaff and appear to be working on behalf of the Blackspider. "Trouble" will remember some of the soldiers from Sterngate reporting large groups of humanoids on horseback with laden packs skirting the fort town and heading in the direction of New Cyre. These sightings while not frequent, have been happening for months. It is possible these are the orcs seen by the town as well.
- Halia Thornton (whom Torbrand is pretty sure is a junior member of the Aurum and part of the Copper Concorde) tried to pay the party for the information and correspondence between the Blackspider (stylized N for a signature) and Glasstaff. The party elected to turn over that information to Sildar as evidence of Glasstaff (Iarno Albrek)'s betrayal of Breland and his oaths to the country. Halia will make a new offer of 200 gp for any information that will lead to the origin of the mounted orcs that appear to be heading North. Or any others who may be working with the Blackspider in a fashion similar to Iarno.
- Mirna Dendrar, whom the party rescued from the cells of the Redbrands, mentioned that her family used to run an apothecary in the town of Thundertree 60 miles to the North of Phandalin (30 miles North-Northwest of Cragmaw Castle) on the border of Breland and Darguun (then Cyre). Within the fireplace of the home/apothecary her mother kept a family heirloom, a platinum and emerald necklace. The party is welcome to the necklace if they can retrieve it.
- Qeline Alderleaf will mention she has a friend named Reidoth the Druid that usually comes to town at least once every three to four months, but has not been seen in over 6 months. Reidoth is known to live in the ruins of Thundertree. Had the party not learned the location of Cragmaw Castle from Droop the Goblin, Reidoth knows this land very well and he could probably have directed them to where Gundren is being held. If the party finds themselves in the area, she would like you guys to check on him. Reidoth is a former adventurer and was in the same party as Daran Edermath, who owns the orchard on the edge of town. Qeline knows that Thundertree is now a dangerous place that is cursed, but doesn't know the details.
- Rescue Gundren and recover his map to learn the location of Wave Echo Cave. Find Gundren's two brothers Tharden and Nundro who are now presumed missing. They are a week overdue for coming into town for the supplies you delivered to Barthen's Provisions.
