The Dinosaur Control Room
Having rested for a long time, we prepare to leave the control room. The control crystals are already in our bags and we had looted anything worth taking. At this time, Three Rivers heard something bubbling from the deep pool of water in the control room. He turned and then - fishmen started pouring of the stagnant water. They were followed by a large merrow. The fishmen attacked Three Rivers and Antor while the the merrow hit Tessa hard with his reach attack.
After we killed them, Three Rivers decided to swim in the pool of water, hoping to learn where the fishmen came from. He discovered a tunnel leading from the pool of water, leading to a chamber from which connected to other tunnels. One seemed to lead outside to a large lake.
When he returned, we decided to follow Three Rivers and swim underwater to the chamber. The large chamber gave us a chance to breath and recover. While Tessa took deep breaths. Three Rivers discovered fishman tracks in the sand leading to the lake. Following the turtle cleric, we found ourselves in a tunnel of worked stone. This was signs of the serpentmen ruins that Varia was searching for.
As we were about to leave the worked stone tunnel, we ran into more fishmen. We again had to kill them all. Looking around at the area, Varia mentioned that her path through the serpentmen ruins lay elsewhere in the tunnels. She remember chambers and coming to a dead end. Bidding farewell to blue skies and blue waters, Tessa followed the others back into the tunnels.
Back at the chamber, we started down another tunnel. Again, we were in a worked stone corridor with walls depicting serpentmen and lizard folk. At the first door, we stopped. Three Rivers and Antor struggled with the heavy stone door, finally opening it to reveal a dark chamber. It stank of death and decay. As if awakened by the opening of the door, undead serpentmen and red-eyed wights started to fill the corridor.
Three Rivers turned half of the zombies and one of the wights. This left us with about six serpentmen undead and two of the wights. Tessa fired off one acid orb after another, killing one of the wights while the others fought the remaining wight and the serpentmen zombies. Then as the turned serpentmen zombies returned to attack us, we destroyed them one by one.
As we tracked down the one remaining serpentman zombie, Three Rivers became aware that we were being followed. Setting an ambush, we quickly overwhelmed and destroyed the last wight.
