Falco’s Tavern
Serving hearty mountain faire, mainly stews and grilled meats, their specialty is sticky kid ribs with roast parsnips and turnips and a grilled eggplant salad. They have expanded recently to compete with the Inn of the Dying Minotaur and West Wind Inn. They have four rooms to rent at the most economically rates in town. Falco and his business partners are dwarves, and they are known to be fair dealing and honest. Falco’s is right on the riverfront and has slip space for three small boats and they cater to a lot of river traffic.
The Inn of the Dying Minotaur
This is the largest place for travelers to stay, with 18 rooms including a ‘Noble’s Suite’ that has a small sitting room and an attached servant’s room. They have good food at fair prices. The common room has nightly music and is adored by a taxidermed bull’s head behind the bar over a battle axe that seems no longer to be serviceable. The house special is their home brewed amber ale and smoked eel with minty peas and potato mash.
The West Wind Tavern
This establishment closed its kitchen, and they only offer hand pies from local bakers and a selection of bread and cheese in the way of food. They serve wine, beer, and spirits. The woodwork throughout the tavern and its six rooms for let is evocative of the Old Faith. The owners (Zelmar and Haki) have a pet raven and cat named Blackie and Soot that are constantly in the common room and make themselves a nuisance all the time. Any harsh words or threats of violence towards the animals will result in immediate expulsion at the hands of their bouncer, Lars.
